Rite Aid Coupon

Hey!!

I just found out that Rite Aid has released some more $5 off of $25 purchase coupons! Go to coupons.com to print yours today before they run out. You should be able to print two of these! These are my new favorite type of coupon as of this last week. I did a great deal at Rite Aid last week with one of these ~ click here to check it out! I also did a fun deal at CVS last week with a coupon like this one ~ click here to check out my CVS buy.

At CVS and Rite Aid these coupons like this:
  1. Choose as many items as you can for a total of at least $25 and have the cashier ring them up.
  2. Give the cashier your $5 off of $25 coupon.
  3. Give the cashier any in-ad coupons or manufacturer coupons you have.
  4. Pay the remainder.
  5. Get your Extra Care Bucks (CVS) you earned from these purchases, or sign-up online for your Single Check Rebates(Rite Aid) owed to you.
Note: The more coupons you have, and the more items you choose that return ECBs or Single Check Rebates, the better your bottom line. These coupons are also a GREAT time to use those rain checks you have been saving up!

At Walgreen's these coupons work differently ~ your total must be $25 AFTER coupons (which includes Register Rewards you wish to use). This make it much harder to get a great deal.

Scrubbing Bubbles Freebie

I have never used the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner before, but I would like to try one in our master bedroom shower. I have checked the prices and they are pretty expensive.

Yesterday, though, I read a blog post that made it seem worthwhile to try. You can get a Free Scrubbing Bubbles Shower Caddy when you sign up for the Scrubbing Bubbles Bulletin. The refills cost about $4.5 or $5, and we just got a $2 off of two refills coupon in our Smart Source insert on 8/2/09. For that price it seems more workable....I'll let you know how it goes.

Have you ever used one of these shower cleaners? If so, please leave a comment on this post telling us about your experiences!

Thank you, Stretching a Buck, for this info!

Walgreen's Photo Lab Deals!

Wow! Walgreen's is doing some great deals in their photo lab this week. Each day this week, you will get a huge discount on some photo lab product and in some instances a free item! For instance, today's deal is 25 prints for only $.25. You can pick-up your order at your local store to save the shipping costs too!

Click here to view each day's hot item!

Thank you to A Thrifty Mom for posting this deal!

Walgreen's 8/16 ~ only $5.80

I had fun at Walgreen's today! I found the Back-to-School flier I had heard about ~ there were tons of them at the front of the store by the weekly fliers. It has a few good coupons in it and I used some today on my purchases!

I then got a $2 Register Reward from the brush I bought, so I can use it next time at Walgreen's!

CVS trip 8/16/09 ~ only $2.39

This week at CVS was kinda slow, and the two stores I went to today were out of pretty much most of the stuff I had hoped to get today. Bummer, but I guess not every week can be awesome! I got just a few things:

So my coupon total was: $3.19, which brings my OOP down to $3.39.
I got $1 back in the form of an Extra Care Buck that I can use as cash next time I shop at CVS!

So.....I paid $3.39 + tax, but subtracting the $1 I got back gives me a grand total of $2.39 for this trip!!

Coupon Spreadsheets

I have created a few spreadsheets to help you keep track of the coupons you get in your Sunday newspapers and others you may want to print.

Click here to view the spreadsheets....to move from one to another, click on the blue spreadsheet names across the top of the page.

Descriptions of what you will find in each spreadsheet are as follows:
  • #1 ~ Newspaper Coupons ~ This is a list of all coupons that can be found in the Daily Advertiser and the Baton Rouge Advocate. I list the brand name, all info found on the coupon including the expiration date, the insert it can be found in, the date on the insert, and which of the two papers the coupon was found in. I will be entering in all new coupons each Sunday.
  • #2 ~ Printable Coupons ~ This is a list of all the good coupons I have come across that I think you any want to print. I list the brand name, all info found on the coupon including the expiration date, the web address you must go to to print it, and the date I printed the coupon. Iwill not include coupons from coupons.com or other coupons specific sites on this page; I will included Bricks coupons and ones I find on manufacturer websites.
  • #3 ~ Coupons from other sources ~ This is a list of the coupons I receive in the mail, ones that are included in the box with items I buy, and odd ones I get on tear pads, etc.
  • #4 ~ With Unknown Source ~ This is a list of coupons I had clipped and put in my files before 8/2/09 when I started the spreadsheet. Because they were already clipped, I am not sure of the exact origin of each of these.
  • #5 ~ Expired ~ I plan to move all coupons to this spreadsheet from the first 4 spreadsheets as they expire. I know...I'm crazy.....but I can't stand it when I toss the old coupons and then a week later I think "Oh I've got a coupon for that", and I can't find it. This way, I will be able to look at the expired spreadsheet and know that YES I DID have one, but it's gone...bye bye!
